How to be a successful member at CrossFit 399:
Please come to every training session on time. If you are late we will still only be able to train you till the finish of the hour that was originally scheduled. And we frown upon those who do not warm-up before each training session. Late-comers will be penalised to 10 Burpees for every minute late OR RM1 (for every minute late) donation to MAKNA, the National Cancer Council. You may drop donations anyway in to the MAKNA box at the front desk.
Do every movement full range of motion. Do not count partial range reps. When in doubt about your rep count, start at 0.
Do CrossFit for the right reasons – to better yourself. Work hardest on the things you're not good at. You are not here to show off. Nobody cares what your time was, or how much weight you lifted. They care whether you are a good person. They care if you cheat, if you are boastful, standoffish, or superior.
Be part of the community
If you see someone you don't know, please introduce yourself. Give positive encouragement to everyone. If you finish early, encourage those still working. Celebrate hard, honest effort more than results. Everyone who works hard is a winner.
Clean up after yourself
We don't mind chalk, sweat or maybe some blood on our equipment. Just make sure you clean them up before returning them back to its place. 30 Burpee penalty will be given for every equipment found unattended/ uncleaned after a WOD.
As we are unable to provide supervision for children we ask that you make alternative arrangements for their care. This is for their own safety and to ensure you get the full benefits of every WOD without distractions.
