4. How long have you been at CrossFit399?
About 6 months.
5. What do you enjoy doing outside of CrossFit?
Tough question. I enjoy a lot of things outside CrossFit and my job, mainly, I love water sports such as swimming and kayaking. Besides that, I appreciate different kinds of cultural expressions i.e the arts scene such as paintings, sculptures or independent films.
6. What is your favourite and least favourite movements or WODs?
I really enjoy weightlifting movements such as back squat and split jerk as those are one of my favourite movements.
I would not like to say, least favourite, but I do want to improve myself on WODs that involve my head to be upside down such as pike pushups and headstands.
7. What is your biggest achievement so far?
Tough to say because I've accomplished so much in such a relatively short period of time. However, my proudest moment so far is that I continually manage to beat my own personal record such as back squat with 5 second pause at 245 pounds weight.
8. What are your future goals?
CrossFit has helped me to be fitter and pushed my mental strength to the limits. From that experience alone, has helped me want to achieve my goal to participate in Tough Mudder or triathlons in the near future.
9. Any advice for anyone just starting their CrossFit journey?
The first step is always the hardest in every journey of dreams. Do not worry if you are scared or anxious about doing CrossFit for the first time, Michelle and her team will guide you through the movements every step of the way and everyone who has joined the box are extremely friendly and supportive.
10. Tell us something we don't know about you.
I used to have a lot of anxiety attacks before I joined CrossFit and CrossFit has gradually improved my health.
11. Who's your box buddy?
Everyone has been so supportive in the box and it feels like family. I would consider everyone I've met in the box as my buddies.
